Downtown Edmonton has had its highs, lows, and slow revivals—but if you know where to go, it still delivers. Every spot on this list is within walking distance of Conxeppt's location. Whether you’re heading to a lunch meeting, grabbing a proper espresso, or looking for a late-night scene, this is the no-BS guide to where to go.
Coffee Worth Walking To
Fawkes – @fawkescoffee Vintage heritage energy. Feels like you stepped into an old-world clubhouse that serves really good coffee. It’s got edge, and I like that.
DOSC (Day Mode) – If I'm meeting someone to talk investments, marketing, or moves, this is where it happens. Clean, modern, no-nonsense refinement.
Credo (104 Street) @credocoffee – Been around. Still solid. Always good.
Coffee Bureau @coffee.bureau – Small, sharp, and steady. Award-winning coffee without the ego. Nothing extra, just proper execution.
Lunch, Date Night Dinner, & Cocktails
DOSC (Night Mode) @doscrestaurant - One of the only places in town that transitions well from day to night. Steaks, cocktails, and design-forward without being soft. It’s where the right people end up.

Baijiu – @baijiu_yeg - Kevin Cam built this thing before downtown had a pulse. I took my wife here before Michelle Obama in 2018, and it still hits. Back when the ICE District was a question mark, Baijiu gave it teeth. Craft innovative and delicious cocktails with a twist. Asian plates with actual thought. A room that’s always on.
Bar Trove – @bartroveca - Designed and led by Lauren Kyle McDavid, Bar Trove is a refined addition to Downtown Edmonton. Classy cocktails, intimate layout, and a design sensibility that actually feels thought through. It’s impeccably stylish and quaint.
CHOP (Downtown) – It’s a chain, yeah. But I’ll say this—the beef dip at lunch is a sleeper. I don’t go here to be seen, I go here when I’m hungry and on the clock. It’s consistent. That’s rare.
Ruth’s Chris – Chain again. Big steaks, sizzle, and serious service. It’s not trying to be cool. That’s the appeal.

Late-Night That’s Actually Alive
The Alfred – @thealfredyeg | Downtown’s heartbeat after hours. Sam and Kris built this right, and DJ Lucky—aka 1.800 Don Juan—curates the kind of nights people pretend they were at. Real community, real music, no cringe. These vibes were earned.
The Chvrch of John - @thechvrchofjohn
Underground in both vibe and location. Loud, creative, unpredictable. If you’re looking for where the energy is at 1 a.m., this is it.
That’s the list.
I’m not here to oversell it—just giving you the actual plays that work. All walking distance from our store in ICE District.
