Peel Back the Curtain

Every brand has a story, but few are stitched together with as much vision, grit, and culture as Conxeppt. What began as a passion project in Edmonton has transformed into a sartorial movement—a Canadian custom menswear brand redefining what luxury truly means.

Early Roots: Style as Connection

The seeds of Conxeppt were planted long before its 2018 founding. Dave, the founder, spent his high-school years managing and working in luxury retail, selling everything from Lacoste polos to Versace suits. What drew him in wasn’t just clothing—it was people.

“I fell in love with connecting with people, helping them find their style, watching how a garment could completely shift someone’s confidence.”
Those early experiences would later shape his conviction: fashion isn’t just about fabric, it’s about identity.

The Finance Years: Style as Armour

In his twenties, Dave stepped into the world of finance. Young, tattooed, and often underestimated, he quickly learned the power of perception.

“Ask my wife—how an elderly woman treats me in line at the grocery store when I’m wearing a short-sleeve shirt with tattoos versus when I’m in a suit. The difference is night and day.”
For him, suits became armor—a way to walk into battle with confidence, to be judged not by ink on his skin but by the strength of his presence. This was where the love affair with tailored clothing became personal.

Marketing Manager Days: Discovering the Gap

Later, as a regional marketing manager at Gateway Casinos (Grand Villa Casino at Rogers Place & Starlight Casino at WEM), Dave wore suits daily. But the experience was frustrating.

He would buy from local custom tailors, only to find the shirts and suits didn’t fit properly. He ended up paying extra for alterations on pieces that were supposed to be “made for him.”

“That’s when I realized there was a gap in the market. Custom wasn’t really custom—and men were paying premium prices without premium results.” This realization planted the idea that would become Conxeppt.

Founding Conxeppt: Fashion with Purpose

In 2018, Dave launched Conxeppt with a bold vision:

  • To bring the world’s best fabrics to Canada.
  • To offer reasonable price points without compromising on craftsmanship.
  • To build a community, not just a clothing label.

The goal wasn’t to replicate the old guard of luxury fashion. Dave wasn’t a third-generation retailer with a family inheritance. Conxeppt was built with personal risk, pure passion, and relentless determination.

The Problem with “Luxury”

Dave is outspoken about what frustrates him in the industry:

  • Brand-name suits selling for $8,000–$10,000 still fail to fit properly.
  • Loro Piana's price points are overshadowed by reports of labour scandals.
  • A system where luxury often means exploitation or empty logos.
“I find it sickening. Real luxury is intentional. It’s about sustainability, fit, and meaning—not just a label slapped on a conveyor-belt suit.”

Conxeppt rejects the hollow status game. Instead, it represents empowered confidence—clothing that makes men feel stronger, sharper, and more personalized to the wearer.

Beyond the Suit: Building Culture

From day one, Conxeppt was about more than fabric. It was about culture.

That’s why the brand hosts elevated private events for its members—spaces where clients can wear their tailored goods, network with like-minded individuals, and live the lifestyle Conxeppt represents.

This blend of fashion and community is what has enabled the Edmonton-based label to grow beyond its city, evolving into a cult brand in Canadian menswear.

The Future of Canadian Menswear

Today, Conxeppt stands as one of the few Canadian fashion brands committed to sustainable luxury. Every suit is cut for ambition—whether it’s a professional walking into a boardroom, an entrepreneur pitching their next venture, or a groom making the statement of a lifetime.

From its Edmonton roots to its growing Canadian and international clientele, Conxeppt proves that true style isn’t about inheritance or pretense. It’s about vision, grit, and culture—and the courage to stitch them all together.

Conxeppt is not just another fashion brand. It’s a story of transformation: from retail kid to finance professional to founder of a sartorial powerhouse redefining Canadian menswear.

And this is only the beginning.
